We source our mushrooms from all over the world. Thanks to our track & trace system, the barcode on each batch allows us to pinpoint the origin and grower.
A solid system of tracking & tracing starts with the grower. Immediately after harvest, the grower labels all the mushrooms from the same flush and the same growing room with a unique barcode. This code is entered together with the quality report via the growers’ portal. This indicates to our transport and product planning department that the batch is available for collection and further processing. The barcode is linked to the packaging unit until the moment the mushrooms arrive at the point of sale.
This enables the origin of the mushrooms and the name of the supplier to be traced at any given moment.
