Abalone (White Elf) mushroom

This mushroom has a striking appearance.
It looks slightly elf-like, which is why it is also known as the White Elf mushroom.

Description
The Akurataki is a large, pale-coloured mushroom.  It is similar in shape to the Oyster mushroom.

Storage and shelf life
This mushroom is best stored in the refrigerator.

Flavour and use
The Akurataki has a succulent, slightly peppery flavour. Sauté briefly before use and serve with vegetables or meat.
