The mushroom is often compared with the shape of a pencil. Although you can’t wright with it, the flavour has a woody taste. When cooked the texture is comparable to asparagus. Which is different than other mushrooms and therefore unique!

Storage and shelf life
The Chestnut Royale Mushroom must stored chilled and has a shelf life of several weeks.

Taste and application
Due to the woody flavour, the Chestnut Royale mushroom fits perfectly into sauces. Just grilling or baking is not recommended because the earthy and woody flavour can be too strong.
